At the Muncie Fairgrounds, the local farmers were having a “Farm Festival” on April 8th. Scott, Jake and I packed in the car for a trip up north. We met Chris, Heather, Zoe and Payton there and started having fun! They had a couple buildings set up to go through. The first had vendors and such which wasn’t too impressive, but the second building had animals! Horses, cows, sheep, goats, rabbits and chickens were some of Jake’s favorites. At first, he wasn’t too sure of them, but did enjoy feeding the goats with daddy. The local FFA group asked if he would like to milk a cow…but he was “udderly” scared to try! (Ha, Ha! Like my attempt at humor?!)
After feeding and petting the animals, Jake and Zoe played in the corn box for a long time. (A corn box is same concept as a sand box…but with…you guessed it…corn!) A bag of kettle popped corn was the only thing that could lure Jake from the corn box! With mouths full, and an evening full of learning about animals, we headed home. We all had a great time!
